Definitely intimidating. If I were t-boned by that rig, I’d be a goner. Makes me reconsider any desire for a Miata.

It makes me understand why everyone wants CUVs. Soccer moms and commuters don’t necessarily need or want to drive a truck-based SUV, but they want more ride height to feel safer.
I think to drive a Miata in urban Texas, you have to have a certain sense of adventure.

I enjoyed driving in Oklahoma with the top down in my friend’s TR-7. I even wanted a Fiat Spider. Now, I’m not so sure. Of course, I still ride a bicycle in traffic and look forward to getting another motorcycle, but on both of those, your head height is a lot higher than sitting in a Miata.
